Who is responsible

Jelly Bean Artwork is an independent art business in South Africa. For privacy questions or requests, contact the artist using the details at the bottom of this notice.

Information you choose to provide

The order enquiry form lets you enter your name, phone number, delivery address or city, order notes, selected artwork, and commission details. The site uses this information in your browser to prepare a WhatsApp message. It does not submit or save the form information to a Jelly Bean Artwork order database.

Nothing is sent through WhatsApp until you choose to send the prepared message there. If you send it, the information is shared with the artist's WhatsApp account and handled by WhatsApp under its own Privacy Policy. Please avoid including payment-card details, identity numbers, health details, or other sensitive information in an enquiry.

For selected pre-made paintings, the prepared message includes a link to the painting image. The website cannot attach image files to WhatsApp automatically.

If you choose to attach reference photos in WhatsApp after the enquiry opens, those images are sent to the artist through WhatsApp; they are not uploaded to or stored by this website.

The review page collects the painting and service ratings you select, your comment, and any optional painting title or display name you provide. It does not ask for your email address or phone number. When submitting a review, you are asked separately to agree to publication of the review and optional display name. Submissions remain private until the artist approves them; only approved consented reviews are shown publicly.

Catalogue and technical information

The public catalogue and artwork images are provided through Supabase. The website is hosted by Vercel. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from cdnjs. These providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and the requested resource when your browser connects to their services. Their own privacy terms apply to that processing.

Customer review submissions are stored in the Jelly Bean Artwork Supabase database for moderation and, if approved, display on the website. The artist and authorized catalogue administrators can access submissions. A review may be edited for display or removed from the website; contact the artist to request removal or deletion of your review.

We do not currently use website analytics or advertising cookies. Your cart exists only in the current browser page and is cleared when you leave or reload it. The separate owner catalogue page uses Supabase Authentication to manage the artist's account session.

How information is used and kept

The artist uses an enquiry you send to respond, discuss requested artwork, and handle an agreed order. Enquiries are handled in WhatsApp; the artist does not set a separate retention period for website-submitted orders because the site does not store them. Messages may remain in WhatsApp or on the devices and backups of people in the conversation. You can ask the artist about a message or request its deletion, subject to any applicable record-keeping obligations and what WhatsApp or other participants retain.

Review submissions are retained while they are being moderated and while needed for the published review. You may contact the artist to request that your review be unpublished or deleted. Public removal may take time to appear in cached copies or third-party browser storage.

Your choices and rights

You can browse without filling in the enquiry form. If you send an enquiry, you may contact the artist to ask about your personal information or exercise rights available to you under applicable privacy law, including South Africa's POPIA. The artist may need to verify your identity and may be unable to remove information that must be retained by law or by a third-party service.
