Copyright & Artwork Use

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Jelly Bean Artwork welcomes people enjoying and sharing its creative work. This policy explains how artwork on this site may be used. It is a practical notice, not legal advice, and does not remove rights or exceptions available under applicable law.

Ownership and third-party rights

Unless a listing says otherwise, artwork created by Jelly Bean Artwork is the artist's work. A purchase of a physical painting does not, by itself, transfer copyright in the image or grant permission to reproduce or commercially use it.

Some artwork may depict characters, brands, or other material belonging to third parties. Those underlying rights remain with their respective owners. Rights in commissioned pieces, licensed material, and collaborations depend on the relevant agreement and applicable law; this page does not claim rights the artist does not hold.

Uses that need permission

Unless a legal exception applies or the relevant rights holder has agreed otherwise in writing, do not reproduce, download for republication, distribute, modify, sell, publish, or use artwork from this site for commercial or promotional purposes. Do not claim another person's artwork as your own, remove an existing credit or watermark, or suggest an unauthorised endorsement or partnership. Giving credit does not, by itself, grant permission.

Sharing and permission requests

You are welcome to share Jelly Bean Artwork's official social-media posts using each platform's built-in sharing tools, provided the original attribution remains visible and the content is not misrepresented. Downloading an image, reposting it, editing it, or using it in another work may require permission, even when you credit the artist.

To request permission, contact the artist and identify the artwork, how and where you want to use it, whether the use is personal or commercial, and how long you need permission for. Permission is only granted when confirmed in writing by the relevant rights holder and may include conditions or a fee.

Protecting artwork online

Artwork previews on this site carry a visible copyright mark as a reminder of attribution. A visible mark cannot prevent screenshots or copying and is not a technical security barrier. If you believe material is being used without permission, contact the relevant platform and the rights holder; Jelly Bean Artwork may seek its removal or pursue remedies available under applicable law.

Requesting permission

Copyright rules have exceptions, and ownership can depend on the circumstances and agreements involved. For important commercial arrangements or disputes, obtain advice from a South African intellectual-property professional.
